Mr. Saeed Akhtar was in the civil service for 35 years and retired in grade 21 in 2002. Before retirement from government service, he held senior appointments as Executive Director State Life Insurance Corporation, Controller of Insurance, Chief Controller of Imports and Exports, Joint Secretary Hajj Operations etc. After retirement, he successfully tried his hand in the stock markets, became a member of the Islamabad Stock Exchange in 2005 and established SAL Securities (private) Ltd. to provide a trading platform for the investors. He was elected on the Board of Islamabad Stock Exchange in 2010. Presently he is also on the Board of Aziz Jehan Begum Trust for the Blind, a registered NGO that is dedicated to imparting modern education to blind children.

Zain received his MBA in Corporate Finance and Strategy at the Stern School of Business at New York University and his BA in Computer Science from Duke University.
